Warmer weather brings increased risk of wildfires and outdoor fires, especially
in rural and natural areas such as the North York Moors National Park. Last year
the Langdale Forest/Fylingdales Moor wildfire was declared a major incident
and became the biggest wildfire in the history of the North York Moors National
Park, highlighting the growing importance of fire safety awareness for young
people and families.
