Enrichment for our youngest learners

From September, we are delighted to offer nursery provision for three-year-olds alongside our Reception class.

Our youngest children benefit from:

  • Play-based, exploratory learning
  • Rich indoor and outdoor environments
  • A strong focus on communication, social skills and independence
  • Carefully planned experiences to spark curiosity and imagination

We believe early enrichment builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning

Clubs and extended provision

We offer a range of after-school clubs across the year, designed to reflect children’s interests and introduce new opportunities.

These may include:

  • Sports clubs
  • Creative and craft clubs
  • Drama
  • Outdoor and nature-based activities

Our wrap-around care provision (8:00am–6:00pm) also supports working families and offers additional opportunities for play, social interaction and enrichment.

Working together

We are proud to work closely with:

  • Families and carers
  • All Saints Church
  • Local organisations and partners
  • Local Secondary Schools

These partnerships strengthen our enrichment offer and help us provide meaningful real-life experiences for our children.

Celebrating success

We value and celebrate every child’s participation and achievements.

We do this through:

  • Sharing successes in newsletters and on our website
  • Celebrations in collective worship
  • Displays of children’s work and achievements
  • Recognising effort, resilience and progress

At Settrington, every child is encouraged to feel proud of what they achieve.

Ensuring access for all

We are committed to ensuring that all children can take part in enrichment opportunities.

We:

  • Encourage all children to participate
  • Provide support where needed
  • Consider financial support for families where appropriate
  • Adapt activities to ensure they are inclusive and accessible

Listening and improving

Our enrichment offer continues to grow and develop. We regularly gather feedback from:
