October 2017

We have been looking at Lauren Childs' Ruby Redfort books this term after seeing Lauren Childs speaking in Malton in September. We have written Ruby Redfort's imaginary diary and are currently working on a newspaper article about her exploits!

We have also been learning about the Vikings ahead of our trip to the Yorvik Viking Centre and DIG next month.

Class 3

June 2017

Class 3 have really enjoyed running their own election. They split into three parties - The Eco Party, The Prospect Party and The Yorkshire Rose Party. The Yorkshire Rose Party collected the most votes from the rest of the school but did not have an outright majority so formed a coalition with The Eco Party. The Prospect Party have become the shadow cabinet. I think we have a few future politicians in our ranks!

Class Three have just returned from a very successful outdoor pursuits trip. They all abseiled from a 70ft bridge (including Mrs Palmer and Mrs Towse!) and were very good at orienteering. They should fabulous team spirit and amazing resilience in the very, very wet conditions!

May 2017

Well done to all of Class 3 who took part in our whole school music event. This was our first musical soiree and we will definitely be repeating it!

Well done to all the Year 6 children who have taken their SATs - you have worked very hard towards these.

On Tuesday 13th October  class 3 were invited by Norton College to take part in a visit to Bradford.  The trip included a visit to a Sikh Gurdwara, a mosque and a local market.  Please see the links below to some of the newspaper reports written by Class 3 following their visit.
